Galveston Island Tours is a subsidiary of Galveston Historical Foundation. “The electric vehicle is part of GHF’s continued move toward greater environmental responsibility,” said GHF Project Coordinator Matt Pelz. “Another of its advantages is that it’s extremely quiet. The tour guide can speak to the passengers without difficulty being heard.” Galveston Island Tours Director Pamela Petty said that this tour would be different from others. “These tours will be topic-specific, more tailored and more intimate. Passengers will be able to get much better photos due to the design of the vehicle.”
